About

Our Founder

From the very early days, Dan Tresemer has been a problem solver. His passion for learning and in figuring out how things worked and how to fix them started out at age 4 when he, without tools, dismantled his mother’s console stereo system … something that she reminds him of still to this day.

It was no surprise when he chose technology as his career. Combining his passion for technology with his love of music, Dan went into the professional audio business. First as a live sound engineer, then designing, installing and servicing sound and projection systems for churches, auditoriums, theaters and cinemas. Upon earning his California State Contractor’s License, Dan started his first company which focused on designing and servicing motion picture screen rooms for some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Only when presented with the opportunity to work with the largest international audio manufacturer did he close the business and for the next 10 years Dan traveled the world serving the international division of JBL Professional as applications engineer, product manger, marketing manager and the last 3 years as director of intercontinental sales. It was this experience that taught him one of the most important business lessons of his life. That instead of “selling” a product, one of the best ways in which to increase sales was to add value to the clients by helping them augment their knowledge and experience. Discovering the area that were in the most need and bringing resources to those areas. In most cases, those were in the areas of sales training and market development.

Desiring a change in his life, he left the audio industry and turned to his second love, computer technology and created a computer technology consulting company, MACandPC Guru, Inc., focused on helping companies to use their technology to increase productivity. Helping them create workflows and processes and then implementing the proper technology they need to accomplish their business goals.

Dan is an emeritus of the Apple Consultants Network advisory council.
